The Hartford Business Journal on Monday announced it has hired former Providence Business News vice president Christopher D. Santilli as its publisher.

A story on its website states, “Most recently, he led talent recruitment for Providence Public Schools’ 3,700 employee school system, which serves more than 24,000 students.

“Zwiebel said Santilli is an ideal fit for HBJ.

“‘Chris’ industry expertise and passion are a great fit for our organization, and he joins us at a moment when we are poised to grow in Connecticut,’ Zwiebel said. ‘His understanding of local business media, leadership, relationship building and market expansion will all contribute to the continued success and growth of the Hartford Business Journal.’

“Santilli joins HBJ after forging a relationship with Zwiebel and his business partner, New England Business Media CEO Peter Stanton, more than 15 years ago.

“‘They are capable entrepreneurs, as well as thoughtful, responsible and thorough publishers,’ Santilli said. ‘We see Hartford, and Connecticut as poised for growth.'”
