Godwin becomes Jacksonville Biz Journal real estate reporter

Brent Godwin

Brent Godwin has become real estate reporter at the Jacksonville Business Journal.

He started last week and will be covering commercial real estate and residential real estate throughout metro Jacksonville.

Godwin spent the better part of a decade at the Birmingham Business Journal. He started there as the summer intern, then was research director, later promoted to online editor. He was then the commercial real estate reporter and then real estate editor.

His most recent job was director of email operations at Cahaba Media Group. Godwin is an Auburn University graduate.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
