FT names Agyemang its global tax correspondent

Emma Agyemang

The Financial Times has tapped Emma Agyemang as its global tax correspondent covering U.K. and international corporate and personal tax issues from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Agyemang has been with FT for more than five years, joining as a freelance journalist, Investors Chronicle. Later on, she was made a personal finance writer, Investors Chronicle and then a reporter for FT Money.

Prior to joining FT, Agyemang was a freelancer where she produced copy for the CFA U.K. which represents the interests of around 11,000 investment professionals and is part of the global network of member societies of CFA Institute.

During her time with them, she also wrote news articles and analytical features for the website and member newsletter and interviewed senior industry contacts over the phone and one-to-one.

Agyemang has also worked as a trainee journalist at News Associates and was an intern reporter at Trinity Mirror Plc. She was also a freelance broadcast presenter at Faculti.

Additionally, she has also worked at City of London and Kandour Ltd.

Agyemang earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature from University of Cambridge and her master’s degree from UCL.
