FreightWaves, a digital news startup focused on freight transportation and logistics, has hired Eric Kulisch to cover the air cargo industry.
He joined the company Aug. 26 after nearly two years as Washington reporter for Automotive News, where he covered government policy related to auto safety, emissions, trade and autonomous vehicles.
Kulisch won a regional gold medal for government coverage from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, and garnered first place awards from the D.C. chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for feature writing and commentary in the Trade Publication category.
He previously worked at American Shipper, which was acquired by FreightWaves this year.
