Fox Business News website not as political as TV

October 24, 2006

The News Hounds web site argues that the Fox business news website doesn’t delve as much into politics as Neil Cavuto does while he is on television.

News Hounds writes, “The headline this afternoon (October 23, 2006) at FoxNews.com/Business explained it like this: Bulls On the Run, Again — Earnings optimism and word that Wal-Mart will move to boost returns gives Wall Street reason to cheer; Dow Jones industrial average cracks 12,100 for first time.

“Compare that to Neil Cavuto’s opening today on Fox’s ‘premiere business news’ program, Your World w/Neil Cavuto:

“On and on we go. Well, the markets that won’t quit because, maybe, maybe the Republican’s won’t lose. I know it sounds crazy but not to a top financial writer who has examined each and every district in this country and has concluded that the Grand Old Party is not going to be in for a grand old defeat.

“With that, Cavuto introduced Jim McTague of Barron’s magazine who wrote for Barron’s: Survivor! The GOP Victory, and who proceeded to explain why the GOP will win in November.

“Comment: If you want a taste of Fox propaganda, watch Fox television. Fox’s website doesn’t come close to replicating it.”
