Jessica Rao of the Journal News in Westchester County, N.Y. interviewed Fox Business anchor Lori Rothman, who left Bloomberg Television last year for her new job.
Rao writes, “Rothman says her job change — she started her Fox gig back in September — came during a time of serious reflection over her career. After 10 years at one job, she decided it might be time to take a break from work and try being a stay-at-home mom. ‘I kind of hit that point in life where it’s like, O.K., I have these two young daughters and a husband, and a very busy life. Now what?’
“At that precise moment, Fox called and said, ‘What’s your story?’
“Rothman was honest, telling them her family was a priority. ‘I said I can do whatever you want between 8 and 5,’ she laughs.
“These days, Rothman is on the air Monday through Friday at 1:00 p.m., so next time you’re home for a sandwich or at the gym on your lunch hour and you’re curious what the market is doing, flip on Fox Business and hear the scoop from your neighbor.”
