Gary Strauss, a former markets reporter at USA Today who took a buyout a year ago, has found work at National Geographic.
Strauss is a project manager for branded content at National Geographic. It’s a six-month contract but could lead to something more permanent down the road.
“Nice to be working full-time again,” said Strauss in an email to Talking Biz News.
Strauss had been at USA Today since 1992, spending time as a reporter on the Money desk, as the advertising and marketing editor, as an entertainment reporter and as an editor on the Money team.
Before joining USA Today, he was the business editor of the Stockton Record in California.
Stockton is a University of Colorado graduate.
