Jeff Elder will be returning to reporting as a correspondent for Business Insider.
There, he will be covering cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in Silicon Valley for the organization.
Before joining Business Insider, Elder was working as a senior managing editor at Avast and as an editor at Salesforce. He has also worked as a senior writer and as a digital communications manager at McAfee and Wikimedia Foundation, respectively.
From 2013 to 2015, he was a reporter with The Wall Street Journal and has also held the posts of social lead, director of marketing and social media manager. Additionally, he was also a columnist at The Charlotte Observer.
Elder has also served as a copy editor at both The Press Democrat and The Plain Dealer.
Elder has a bachelor’s degree in journalism, humanities from San Jose State University. He also has a Knight fellowship from Stanford University.
