Denver Business Journal editor-in-chief Rebecca Troyer has been named director, email publications at Charlotte, North Carolina-based American City Business Journals.
Business Journal managing editor Kourtney Geers writes, “In this newly created position, she will oversee the growth and success of ACBJ’s The National Observer brand, leading a staff of writer-editors and serving as a member of ACBJ’s National Content Team.
“Troyer became editor-in-chief of DBJ in April 2018 after serving in editorial management roles at ACBJ markets in Raleigh and Greensboro, North Carolina. Under her leadership, DBJ has achieved record subscription growth and audience expansion, and its newsroom staff has amassed awards from national and regional organizations.
“‘Rebecca has contributed immeasurably to our success while she has been at the helm of the DBJ newsroom,’ DBJ Publisher and Market President Kevin Pitts said. ‘Now she will carry that success into a national role that will allow her to make an even greater impact in ACBJ.'”
