Carol Clark, the publisher at the Dayton Business Journal, has resigned effective Sept. 1.
Business Journal editor Don Baker writes, “Clark, 60, joined the Business Journal as advertising director in early 2008 and was promoted shortly afterward to publisher.
“‘This was a very hard decision for me as I have really enjoyed my time at the Dayton Business Journal. I will miss the great people who have helped me build the organization over the past decade, and our devoted readers, news sources, and advertisers, but I’m excited about the next step in my career and being closer to my family,’ Clark said.
“Alex Orfinger, executive vice president of American City Business Journals, commended Clark on her tenure at the paper.
“‘We thank Carol for her nearly 10 years at the DBJ, during which she oversaw growth in revenue, profit and audience, and wish her the best in her future endeavors,’ Orfinger said. ‘We’ve already started a search to find Carol’s successor.'”
