Tech news site CNET has hired Bree Fowler as a senior writer to cover cybersecurity.
For the past four and a half years, Fowler has been a technology reporter and writer specializing in digital security and privacy at Consumer Reports. She also covered smartphones, wearable technology, and other emerging tech.
Before joining Consumer Reports, she worked as a reporter for The Associated Press for 16 years, including serving as a national technology writer focused on cybersecurity.
In addition to writing for Consumer Reports, she frequently appears on our TV show, “Consumer 101,” as well as on national TV news shows and channels such as NBC’s “Today,” CNBC, WGN, NPR, and ABC Radio.
She holds degrees in journalism and political science from Michigan State University.
