CNBC announced Wednesday that it will begin a new program called “CNBC Bizography” that will profile famous business men and women.
The first show will air Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 9 p.m. EST, and it will profile former boxer George Foreman, who has become a millionaire businessman after retiring from the ring.
The networks says the show will feature “the real story behind some of the most famous icons, the greatest companies and the titans of industry who helped build them.”
“In primetime, our viewers are looking for more in-depth and behind-the-scenes stories of the companies and business leaders that CNBC covers during Business Day and ‘CNBC Bizography’ does just that,” said Ray Borelli, vice president of strategic research, scheduling and long-form programming, in a statement.
The show will be narrated by actor J.K. Simmons. Charles Schaeffer is the executive producer of “CNBC Bizography.”
Future shows will be about Ted Turner, Southwest Airlines, Hugh Hefner, Donald Trump and Merv Griffin.
