Emily Chasan, a senior editor at The Wall Street Journal’s CFO Journal, has been hired to be sustainable finance newsletter editor at Bloomberg Brief.
She will start Jan. 4. She’ll be covering corporate social responsibility, sustainable and responsible investing, and corporate governance.
At the CFO Journal, she wrote about finance, corporate governance, tax, accounting, auditing and regulation.
In 2012, Chasan was named to the Directorship 100, a list of the most influential people on corporate boards of directors. She has won two Front Page Awards from the Newswomen’s Club of New York and was named to Newsbios “30 under 30” list of up and coming financial journalists in 2007.
Chasan started her career as an intern in The Journal’s Dallas bureau and rejoined the Journal in 2011. She was previously a senior correspondent at Reuters and led the wire service’s team of bankruptcy reporters during the financial crisis from 2008 to 2010.
Chasan graduated cum laude from Tufts University with a degree in economics and international relations.
