The Albuquerque Journal plans to start a daily business section next week, writes publisher William P. Lang.
Lang writes, “The Journal has an incredibly strong business desk with four reporters — editor Ryan Boetel, deputy editor Megan Gleason and reporters Matt Narvaiz and Allison Carpenter — who combined have over two decades of reporting experience.
“We are uniquely positioned to deliver daily breaking news on business across the state and, rather than holding the news into a weekly section, we want to be able to showcase it daily to our readers. The new section, which will keep the Business Outlook branding, will run Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with an expanded section on Sundays.
“The new Business Outlook daily section will, of course, include our two longtime columnists: Jerry Pacheco, who writes a Business Across the Border column every other week, and Jim Hamill, who writes a column every week called On the Money. And we will be starting new daily features, including a report of how the top 10 stocks important to New Mexico are performing, a daily look at commodities relevant to New Mexico, and regular check ins on municipal bonds and pensions across the state.”
