Fox Business Network‘s Neil Cavuto is once again relying on Las Vegas-based Wayne Root as a regular guest.
Root, a former Libertarian Party vice presidential candidate, appeared on Cavuto’s show Monday and is scheduled to appear again tonight. Here is Monday night’s appearance:
He makes his living selling betting tips. As Phil Mushnick of the New York Post wrote earlier this year: “That’s odd, because many other folks know Root, and for many years, to be an inveterate self-promoter, braggart, liar, windbag and a fellow, who, as a TV time-buying sports gambling tout, has never provided evidence of having earned an honest dime.
“Perhaps Cavuto’s impressed that Root recently ran as the Libertarian Party’s candidate for Vice President. But that such a scoundrel can run for such an office is something else about Root that has apparently eluded Cavuto and his shows’ producers.
“Our suggestion to Cavuto is that he put in a call to one of Root’s sports handicapping (scamdicapping) phone lines, give his name as Joe Blow, and hear for himself how Root makes his living. As a business reporter Cavuto should be able to recognize a boiler-room operation when he hears one.”
