BusinessWeek writer covers friend for magazine

Valleywag, a blog about the Silicon Valley community in California, has posted a photo featuring a BusinessWeek reporter, Sarah Lacy, with her arm around Yelp co-founder Jeremy Stoppelman.

The question the site poses is whether Lacy wrote a story about the company recently in the magazine that is run by a friend.

Valleywag wrote, “Sure, it’s a bit sketchy to cover your friends for BusinessWeek. But don’t be too hard on Lacy. She wrote a puff piece about Yelp and all she got was this lousy t-shirt.”
