Business Insider and Industry Dive have partnered with National Association of Hispanic Journalists on a series of workshops to help Latino reporters break into business journalism.
Each training will be a workshop-style training, with a short presentation interspersed with hands-on opportunities to test skills. They will stand alone as courses, but attendees who attend all sessions will be able to build upon what they learned in the past training.
These sessions are designed as an introduction to business journalism, both for early career and experienced reporters. The goal is to empower attendees to find, pitch and write business stories if they choose.
The speakers include Shwanika Narayan from the San Francisco Chronicle and Robert Barba from The Wall Street Journal.
These are opened to non-NAHJ members, though there is currently a short waitlist for attendance.
