“The Financial Exchange with Barry Armstrong,” Boston’s only daily business news radio show on WRKO AM 680, recently announced that Kim Carrigan will join the show as a co-host.
A story on the Swampscott Reporter states, “The show, which airs weekday from 10 a.m. to noon, is also being renamed to The Financial Exchange with Barry Armstrong and Kim Carrigan.
“‘Kim is easily one of the most recognized personalities in Boston; with her charm, wit and intelligence she makes a great program even better,’ said Bill Cooksey, program director at WRKO AM 680.
“Carrigan, a Swampscott resident, started her career as a news anchor, reporter and producer for WHO-TV, KRCG-TV, KMIZ-TV, and KQTV-TV in St Louis, Mo. before having successful stints in Boston at WHDH, WBZ/WSBK and WFXT.
“Carrigan, an Emmy-award winning television news anchor, has been recognized with numerous other awards, including: an Edward R. Murrow Award for ‘Best Newscast in a Major Market,’ a Quest Award as one of five outstanding women who have achieved success in their quest for excellence from the New England Women Business Owners Association, and a Gabrielle award.”
