A body has been found near where Wall Street Journal reporter David Bird went missing in New Jersey in January 2014.
Justin Zaremba writes for NJ.com, “After a body was recovered from a waterway bordering Somerset and Morris counties Wednesday evening, a spokeswoman for the family of David Bird says they’re still waiting for answers.
“David Bird, a Wall Street Journal reporter, went missing more than a year ago after he left his Millington home on a walk and never returned.
“Family friend Carolyn Buscarino said the Bird family was informed by authorities that an unidentified body was found in the Passaic River. She also said the family asked for privacy at this time until ‘relevant authorities have made public definitive answers.’
“‘As you can imagine, this is a difficult time for the Bird family,’ Buscarino said in a statement. ‘I ask you to respect their privacy — please do not contact Mrs. Bird directly.'”
