Bloomberg Television anchor Mike Schneider has been let get from the network, the second top person at Bloomberg TV to depart in the past week.
Steve Krakauer of TV Newser reports, “We hear the slot will be occupied tonight by global reporting on the opening of the Asia and European markets.
“A TV insider notes this is the second time Schneider has been let go from an Andy Lack operation. Lack, who joined Bloomberg as CEO in October, was Schneider’s boss at NBC News in the mid 1990’s.”
Last week, former Bloomberg Television managing editor John Meehan departed. It’s apparent that Lack, hired last year as CEO of Bloomberg’s multimedia operations, and David Rhodes, hired last year as head of Bloomberg TV’s U.S. operations, are cleaning house.
Schneider created and hosted “Night Talk,” a one-hour prime time talk show broadcast throughout the US and internationally.
