Paul Caine started Monday as chief revenue officer of Bloomberg Media Group, where he will oversee ad sales and marketing across media including television, web, video, and print.
Steven Perlberg of The Wall Street Journal writes, “Mr. Caine held the same title at Time Inc. after a 23-year career with the company. Last year, he left Time for radio syndicator WestwoodOne, formerly Dial Global, before it was purchased by Cumulus Media. Mr. Caine left the company in January.
“Mr. Caine’s new appointment comes during a major transition for Bloomberg. Since taking over last year, Mr. Smith, previously of The Atlantic, has sought to infuse Bloomberg with digital expertise through his hires. He also announced a politics vertical to be led by prominent political journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.
“‘Paul is one of the great talents in global advertising with deep experience in digital and traditional media,’ Mr. Smith said in a statement. ‘He has developed some of the most innovative advertising strategies in the industry and will be instrumental in our efforts to build a portfolio of digitally-led, multi-platform brands for global business decision-makers around the world.'”
