Bloomberg Businessweek announced Tuesday that Karen Frank has been hired as deputy photo editor.
“Frank brings a deep knowledge of business and great ideas for how to make our photography even more distinctive,’ said Josh Tyrangiel, editor of Bloomberg Businessweek, in a statement. “She has experience working with world class photographers across a variety of different subjects. We are fortunate to have her join our team.”
Frank will report to photography director David Carthas.
Frank was most recently at Conde Nast Portfolio. Prior to that, she was photo director at More Magazine and has also worked as director of photography at GQ magazine; photo editor, special issues, for InStyle Magazine; and photo director at O, The Oprah Magazine.
Frank is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University. She resides in Chappaqua, N.Y.
