Associated Press business editor Brad Foss sent out the following announcement on Tuesday:
Colleagues,
The word has already trickled out, but I wanted to spread it more widely: our steady markets maven Marley Jay has decided to leave the AP to take a job as an investing reporter at Business Insider. Marley’s last day with us will be Friday.
Marley will be missed. He has worked hard to make the daily financial markets story concise and insightful. Among the creative touches Marley brought to the story were witty sub-heds.
Marley joined the AP 12 years ago as a member of the APFN stock-movers team. He has also been a general assignment reporter on the breaking news team and a health care reporter.
Moving forward, Damian Troise will help keep the daily financial markets story going strong, along with help from the rest of the Money team.
Please join me in thanking Marley for his dedication and wishing him well in all future endeavors. There will be some farewell festivities for BIZers in NYC, so stay tuned for details.
