ABC, CBS and PBS win business Emmys

ABC’s “Nightline” and CBS’s “60 Minutes” were among the winners Tuesday night for business and economics reporting in the 35th annual news and documentary Emmys.

“Nightline” won the Outstanding Business and Economic Reporting in a regularly scheduled newscast category for “Billion Dollar Losers — China Fraud and U.S. Markets.”

“60 Minutes” won Outstanding Business and Economic Reporting in a news magazine category for “China’s Real Estate Bubble.”

In addition, PBS’s “Frontline” won the Outstanding Business and Economics Reporting — long form category for “The Retirement Gamble.”

Also, National Public Radio’s “Planet Money” won an Emmy for New Approaches in Documentaries for “Planet Money Makes a T-Shirt.”

KNXV-TV in Phoenix won an Emmy in the Outstanding Regional News Story: Investigative Reporting category for “Ford Escape: Exposing a Deadly Defect.”
