Bloomberg News reporter Sarah McBride has left the news organization after nearly nine years in San Francisco.
She has been covering venture capital and technology.
Before Bloomberg, McBride worked as a correspondent at Reuters, mostly covering venture capital. For more than a decade before that, she worked at the Wall Street Journal, with stints in Washington, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
McBride has a master’s in journalism from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Her reporting, including on questions surrounding tech billionaires such as Elon Musk, has led her to be a sought-after expert on talk shows including CNBC, CNN, and Dateline.
McBride will become a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT for the 2025-26 academic year.
