Aaron Task of Yahoo Finance posted the following on Facebook on Friday:
In the “all good things must come to an end” department, I have left Yahoo Finance after 7.5 (!) years as on-camera host and (later) Editor-in-Chief. During my time at Yahoo I got to meet and interview many of the world’s most prominent intellectuals…great thinkers like Joseph Stiglitz and Thomas Piketty, as well as business leaders, celebrities and politicians, including President Bill Clinton and VP Joe Biden.
And of course, I interviewed many of the top names on Wall Street, including George Soros, T. Boone Pickens and many more.
I had amazing experiences, including a trip to South Korea to interview then President 이명박 (Lee Myung-bak), my first with a sitting head of state and first interview via an interpreter (see pics below).
Unfortunately, many of those interviews were lost to a CMS shift at Yahoo, but I have the memories (and a few pics) to prove it. You can find my more recent clips below.
I want to thank everyone who tuned in over the years, especially those who took the time to give feedback (even if sometimes harsh), my longtime cohost Henry Blodget and my YF colleagues.
Stay tuned for info about what’s next for me. But for now, enjoy the last days of summer — I know I will!
