Keith Kelly of the New York Post reports Wednesday that 60 employees at Bloomberg News‘ television and radio operations are losing their jobs today.
Kelly writes, “The cuts are expected to be evenly distributed between TV and radio, both of which are losing an estimated $20 million-plus a year.
“While the company is still adding people in other divisions, it marks the first-ever big round of layoffs since Bloomberg founded the company in 1981.
“The mayor still owns the company, but doesn’t run the day-to-day operations.”
