Wall Street Journal head of digital Taneth Evans sent out the following announcement:
I’m excited to announce some changes that will help to accelerate the great work already happening across our teams.

Tess Jeffers is now our Head of AI and Data. This new role means she can dedicate more of her time and smarts to bringing AI into the newsroom, allowing us to accelerate our progress in this vital space. We’ll be hiring a new Director of Newsroom Data to manage the current data team, and they will report to Tess.

Vivyan Tran is named Head of Audience Strategy. The content strategy, community, newsletters, partnerships, SEO and social teams will report to Vivyan, who has done a stellar job of leading our audience-first strategy in the newsroom. This new structure brings all of our audience-focused teams into one group to better serve our readers wherever they are.

Dylan Scott is our new Director of Strategic Initiatives. He’ll be developing new formats and franchises, building on the successful model of the Personal Finance Lab. Dylan will continue to report to Vivyan.

Please join me in congratulating Tess, Vivyan and Dylan!
