We are thrilled to announce that Brian Schwartz will be joining the bureau as our White House economic policy reporter, starting Oct. 28.
Brian is a news hawk, breaking story after story during a distinguished six-year run as a political finance reporter at CNBC. His pieces are routinely stuffed full of news and pull back the curtain on the intersection of government and business. He has established himself as a dominant reporter by cracking open the country’s corridors of power.
He has written illuminating, ground-breaking stories about Elon Musk’s PAC, George Santos’s fundraising, JD Vance’s Wall Street ties, Kamala Harris’s Wall Street allies, and Mike Bloomberg’s secretive data firm, among others.
Brian’s career has had a number of fun stops, including producing traffic reports as an intern for a New York radio station as a college intern. He later crafted football game highlights for the NFL Network. He first stepped into media when he was a college freshman and became the voice of the Dickinson College Red Devils.
