WSJ hires Business Insider’s Long

Katherine Long

The Wall Street Journal has hired Business Insider’s Katherine Long.

She will start later this month.

Long is a correspondent on Business Insider’s fast investigations team.

She previously covered Amazon, with a focus on the company’s extensive warehousing and logistics operations, at Business Insider and  The Seattle Times.

She is a graduate of Brown University and Columbia Journalism School’s Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism, where she won a Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship and the Peter Keller Award for Editing.

Long also worked on an Emmy-award-winning episode of The New York Times’s television series, The Weekly.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
