Travel industry news site Skift has acquired membership organization Women Leading Travel & Hospitality and podcast studio Hospitality.fm for an undisclosed amount.
Women Leading Travel & Hospitality will continue to be run by Hannah DeMaio. Hospitality.fm was founded by Wil Slickers, who will lead Skift’s multimedia strategy.
“We’ve always informally cultivated community through our events and content,” said Skift CEO Rafat Ali in a statement. “With WLT&H, we are formalizing and deepening that community engagement. Hannah and her team have built something remarkable that resonates deeply in the industry, aligning seamlessly with our mission.”
Ali noted that Slickers provides the “expertise we need to further elevate our audio and visual storytelling. This acquisition accelerates our ambition to become the premier multi-format content company in travel.”
Skift, founded in 2012, will release details regarding upcoming integrations, global events, and new franchise initiatives at the upcoming Skift Global Forum.
