Leonie Kijewski, a trade reporter for Politico in Europe, is leaving the news organization after two years.
Prior to joining Politico, Kijewski was EU and NATO correspondent for the English service of German press agency dpa in Brussels.
Before moving to Brussels, Shewas based in Cambodia for five years, where she reported about the Khmer Rouge trials and then joined the national newspaper Phnom Penh Post. In the last two years of her stint in Phnom Penh, she worked as a freelancer. Covering politics, human rights and the environment, her articles were regularly published in Al Jazeera, The Guardian, Voice of America, and others.
Kijewski holds a master’s degree in international law from Maastricht University and speaks German, English, French and Dutch.
