Ore Ogunbiyi has been named Africa correspondent for The Economist.
Ogunbiyi currently co-hosts its daily podcast “The Intelligence.” She was previously the health-care and consumer correspondent in the business section.
Prior to The Economist, she wrote speeches for the vice president of Nigeria and co-authored a book called “Taking Up Space: The Black Girl’s Manifesto for Change.”
She holds an MS in journalism from Columbia University, New York and a BA in human, social and political cciences from Jesus College, Cambridge.
