Health industry news site STAT News and Mia Sato of The Verge were recognized by The American Society of Magazine Editors winners of the 60th annual National Magazine Awards.
STAT won in the general excellence special interest category for publications serving highly defined reader communities, including city and regional magazines.
Sato, a feature writer for The Verge, was recognized as an ASME NEXT Award for Journalists Under 30 Honorees.
ASME will host the winners of the National Magazine Awards, ASME Award for Fiction, ASME Awards for Design, Photography and Illustration and ASME NEXT Awards at a reception at Racket at 431 West 16th Street in New York City from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3.
