Senior editor Lauren Steussy was among the layoffs at Business Insider last week.
She had been with the publication since March 2022 and was based in Los Angeles.
“I genuinely liked my job, and I’m already missing the brain massage that was brainstorming and editing with incredible writers/reporters/thinkers/doers,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
Steussy previously was at the New York Post as a features reporter and an associate features editor. She also worked at the Staten Island Advance and the Orange County Register, as well as NBC San Diego.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California-Davis.
