Capitol Forum hires Oliphant as deputy ME

James Oliphant

The Capitol Forum has hired James Oliphant as deputy managing editor for antitrust coverage.

Prior to joining The Capitol Forum, Oliphant covered national politics and the White House for Reuters for more than a decade. He is a former deputy editor of National Journal magazine and a former editor-in-chief of Legal Times.

He has also worked for the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times, covering politics, Congress, and the U..S. Supreme Court.

Before entering journalism, Jim worked for several years as a corporate litigator after graduating from the Moritz College of Law at the Ohio State University, where he received an American Jurisprudence Award in Trial Practice.
