Politico reporter Joe Gould, the anchor for the “Global Security” newsletter, is leaving the news organization.
He had been the anchor of the “Morning Defense” newsletter. He’ll also be covering the House Foreign Affairs and Senate Foreign Relations committees, two crucial panels that oversee weapons exports and a host of other international issues.
Gould previously was at Defense News, where he covered land warfare, the Pentagon and Capitol Hill.
Before Defense News, he spent five years covering land warfare for Army Times, after stints at Inside the Army and the New York Daily News.
Gould graduated from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College before getting his master’s degree at Columbia University.
