Cassie Werber, a senior reporter at Quartz, has left.
She wrote on X/Twitter:
“I’ll miss a lot of things about my job and workplace, and right at the top of that list is working alongside clever, kind people every day. Thank you Quartz and my colleagues: You changed my life.”
Werber had been with Quartz for more than eight years, recently covering work and the workplace. Prior to joining Quartz in January 2015, she was an energy reporter at The Wall Street Journal. There, she focused on oil futures and the North Sea crude market, electricity, nuclear power and renewable energy.
She was also an assistant online editor at Dow Jones News.
Werber has a B.A. from the University of Cambridge and a M.A. from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
