Shaheer Naveed has been hired by OPIS, a Dow Jones company, to cover refined products, including jet fuel, diesel and gas.
He was a reporter at the Wichita Business Journal covering land and workforce issues for the past year.
“This role will be fun,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “I’m looking forward to analyzing more data and improving the numbers in my reporting.”
Naveed had interned at Albuquerque Business First, a sister publication. He also interned at the Philadelphia Citizen and at the Society of Professional Journalists.
Naveed is a graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
