News editor James Temperton has been laid off at Wired magazine.
“I can’t thank my colleagues enough for all the incredible work, the compassion, and the support,” he wrote on LinkedIn.
He has been based in Montreal for the past two years and previously served as deputy editor.
Before that, he held the posts of reporter, acting deputy digital editor, senior editor and digital editor. He launched the daily newsletter briefing Wired Awake.
He reported and edited for Dennis Publishing and worked at Incisive Media.
Temperton has a B.A. and M.A. from Cardiff University.
