MNI has hired Larissa Garcia to be its Latin Amerian central banking correspondent.
Garcia will be based in Brasilia.
She will initially focus on the region’s two most closely watched monetary authorities — Banco Central do Brasil and Banco de Mexico.
Garcia previously worked at financial newspaper Valor Economico, where she covered the Brazilian central bank and the country’s economy. She also worked at Folha de Sao Paulo and spent five years as a staffer at the Brazilian central bank.
She also worked at Correio Braziliense.
