Rob McLean, an editor for CNN Business, was among the layoffs this week.
He edits articles, reports breaking news and helps manage the CNN Business homepages overnight.
Before joining CNN, McLean worked as a digital managing editor for Hearst Television from 2012-2015, editing articles produced by local stations. From 2010-2012, he served as a local editor for Patch.com, managing a news site in suburban St. Louis.
McLean moved to New York from Omaha, Nebraska. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University, majoring in English, and a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he studied journalism.
