The Information’s Wayne Ma, who was its chief reporter covering Apple and later Nvidia, has been hired by SemiAnalysis, the world’s leading AI and semiconductor independent research firm, to cover AI chips and hardware as an analyst.
He will start next month.
Before joining The Information, Ma spent a decade with Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal in Singapore, Beijing and Hong Kong covering oil trading, China’s energy and consumer industries and Southeast Asian tycoons.
He is a graduate of New York University’s business and economic reporting program and got his start as newspaper reporter at The Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa.
