Longtime WSJ staffer Hicks departs after 21 years

Wall Street Journal staffer Jennifer Hicks has left the newsroom after more than 21 years.

She was a driver of digital growth and transformation for more than two decades. She held a number of senior editing roles, including establishing the Journal’s digital operations in London, running the news hub in New York, leading the first newsroom product team as a deputy managing editor on the masthead and overseeing digital platform, partnership and audience development operations.

In her most-recent position, Hicks was director of audience development. She led strategies for newsletters, search, social and community to increase purposeful reach and drive subscription growth.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Oklahoma and has a master’s in journalism from Columbia University.
