Legal editor Peter Jeffrey was among the layoffs this week at Bloomberg News.
He had been with the news organization for 13 years. He started in 2012 as homepage editor and then news director of Bloomberg.com, helping with the early expansion of what is now a leading news site.
Jeffrey then joined the real estate team of Bloomberg News and, next, the legal news team, working on some of the most prominent cases of the past decade.
Before Bloomberg, Jeffrey was deputy bureau chief in Hong Kong for the Wall Street Journal and worked on the national and foreign news desks stateside.
He’s a graduate of Yale University.
