Jankowicz moves to military and defense beat at Business Insider

Business Insider senior reporter Mia Jankowicz is moving to the military and defense beat for the publication.

She has been a news reporter, with a major focus of her reporting is issues relating to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, where she has taken in-depth looks at the untimely death of Fox News fixer Sasha Kuvshynova as well as the grueling defense of Bakhmut. She particularly follows updates in military tech, military strategy, and geopolitics.

Jankowicz has reported on everything from the possible causes of the Francis Scott Key Bridge crash in Baltimore to what it’s like to be a security official at one of Putin’s palaces.

She previously covered Brexit for The New European and has contributed stories to The Guardian and the New Statesman.
