Insider has hired Jackie Bischof to be its managing editor of business news in the United Kingdom.
She will start next week.
Bischof is currently Quartz’s Talent Lab editor, working to recruit talent to Quartz and helping reporters and editors do their best work. She was previously deputy membership editor, and deputy global news editor.
Prior to joining Quartz in 2016, Bischof was digital editor at Newsweek. She also worked as a reporter and producer for the Wall Street Journal, and Thomson Reuters’ digital editorial teams in Johannesburg and New York.
Bischof has a master’s in journalism from Columbia and a bachelor’s from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg
