Inc., Fast Company parent has laid off 7% of staff

Mansueto Ventures, the parent of Inc. and Fast Company magazines, laid off 13 staffers, or about 7% of its workforce, according to sources.

Here are the journalists that we have confirmed have left the company

Jessica Bursztynsky, a tech reporter at Fast Company;
Aimee Rawlins, a senior editor at Fast Company;
Christine Haughney Dare-Bryan, an editor at large at Inc.;
Diana Ransom, an executive editor at Inc.;
Laura Lorber, an executive editor at Inc.;
Tom Foster, an editor at large at Inc.;
Bill Saporito, an editor at large at Inc.;
Christine Lagoro-Chafkin, an editor at large at Inc.

A company spokeswoman did not reply to an email Tuesday night seeking comment.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
