Tom Foster, an editor at large at Inc. magazine, has been laid off after 13 years with the publication.
Foster is a longtime magazine journalist based in Austin, Texas. In addition to his work at Inc. magazine, he contributed to Texas Monthly and was a contributing editor for Popular Science. Foster specializes in long-form feature journalism about innovators in a diverse array of fields.
Previously, he was a top editor at Fast Company and Men’s Journal magazines.
Foster has also been an editorial consultant for companies looking to establish a unique brand voice, and he worked as creative director and editor in chief of the travel e-commerce startup Jetsetter.com, a member of the Gilt Groupe.
