European business reporter Christiaan Hetzner was among the layoffs at Fortune earlier this summer.
He was business writer on the daily news team in Europe. He had previously been freelancing, but previously spent 10 years at Reuters. He also worked for Dow Jones Newswires.
Hetzner also covered the German auto industry for Automotive News Europe.
He is a graduate of Georgetown University.
